This weekend I'm back in Wilsondale. (AKA Middle of Nowhere) I was actually really glad to see my mom, brother, and grandma when they came to pick me up. It has been two full months since I last went home to visit so I was actually (kinda) looking forward to this trip home. I talked to my dad on the phone earlier and he was in a good mood. He got a small raise at work.
Of course, the fun trip home turned not so fun when something on the radio brought up the gays. My mom launched into one of her rants about how she doesn't like gay people and blah blah blah. Then Britney came on the radio which got my mom started on the song 'If U Seek Amy' and how she hates it. The ride home gave me a headache.
It's things like this that keep me from telling her that I'm gay. Sometimes it seems like she'd handle the news fine (she wouldn't be ok with it, but she wouldn't disown me either). Then there are the times when it seems like the first thing she'd want to do would be to cry or something. Anyway, I'm getting more and more frustrated with having to pretend to be someone I'm not around her. (She only mentioned me getting a girlfriend like 4 times during the trip home.)
Now that I'm back at my house it makes me realize how much I like life in the city more. Don't get me wrong, this is where I grew up and there are a lot of good memories here, I just like it better in the city. I miss my stupid dorm room and my bed. I went to sleep at 10pm (there's nothing to do here, don't look at me like that.) and only slept for around 4 hours.
I'm leaving here in a couple hours to go back to my old High School so I can get this form signed to do my Level 1 Clinicals there. I'm looking forward to seeing my little brothers and cousins getting on the bus.
I find myself hoping that this weekend goes well. I'm sure that I'll enjoy spending time with my mom and dad as long as no one says the word gay.

I Hate Tatiana del Toro.
I missed my English class today. It's not my fault though, I blame the stupid storm and the internet, which distracted me and made me forget that I had a class to go to.
This day started off wonderfully. I let myself sleep till 1 o'clock. (pm that is) I dragged myself out of bed and decided to see what the weather was like. I threw open the curtains and the bind and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was bright and sunny outside. People were wearing shorts, and there were a couple attractive shirtless guys playing Tennis, and a few guys with their shirts on playing some other sport over in the field like area by the tennis courts. I took all of this as a sign that I should wear shorts to class, which I did.
I get to class at 4 o'clock. (The hours between 1 and 4 were spent doing homework, showering, and fixing my hair. My hair looked damned good when I left the room.) I'd been sitting in class for 40 minutes when I noticed that it was beginning to get dark outside. Another twenty minutes pass and it starts to rain, and the wind is blowing VERY hard. At this point the teacher tells us we can leave class (A full hour early) because of the weather. Which was sort of a good thing. However, on the walk back to the dorms from Jenkins Hall (where my class was) I got soaked, my hair got ruined and it was FREEZING cold rain.
I had dinner with Adriene, John, and Millie, came back to my room and have been here since. (I was supposed to go to English 342 at 6:30 but I forgot and wouldn't have wanted to walk there in that rain anyway.) I watched American Idol.
Oh, what to say about American Idol? I think I hate it. (Not the serious hate, the kind of hate where you say you hate something but you don't mean it, you're just mad because things didn't go the way you wanted them to.) The very beginning of the show was good. The guy named Von Smith got through. I was glad, I've been a fan of his since his audition when he sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The gladness ended there. My second favorite from this season (so far) was Cody Sheldon, he had to sing off with a friend of his and go cut. SERIOUSLY? I will miss him. I hear they're doing wild cards again this season, so I hope he gets brought back. Is that possible though? I can't remember how the wild card works. Anyway, moving on. This show was 2 hours long, and it was just 2 hours of people walking in to see the judges and find out if they make it into the top 36. During this time Guy Whose Wife Died makes it in, but his best friend does not. Blind guy gets in as well, which made me happy.
They let that Norman Gentle guy through. That's going to be interesting.
Anyway, as all of this is going on, I just want to know whats going to happen with Tatiana del Toro (or as I like to call her Tatiana del Annoying Bitch). Turns out, they save her for one of the last people. As soon as its her turn and she walks into the judges room and lets out one of her Squeals I realize, once again, how much I hate her. Seriously, she makes me want to throw things or eat my own face. (What? I know that doesn't sound possible, but she's so annoying I want to find a way) Anway, she squeals and manages to get free Jewlery designed by Paula and SURPRISE she makes it through to the top 36. I swear, if she gets any farther I'll scream or something.
So now for the next 3 weeks the top 36 will preform in groups of 12. At the end of this episode they showed the 12 that we'll be seeing next week and Tatiana del Annoying Bitch is one of them. Hopefully she wont make it any farther. During her scene at the end (they had all the contestants dancing to "When I Grow Up") shes wearing this sparkley dress. I REALLY HATE HER.
So Idol went off and I cleaned my room. It looks nice in here again, hopefully it'll last a few weeks this time.
Now it's almost 2am and I'm not even tired. Go me.
Anyway, that's all for tonight.
Toodles!

Were The World Mine
Ok so, a couple months back I was browsing around the blog on Out.com and they had this entry about a gay movie/musical called 'Were the World Mine' and as soon as I saw the trailer I wanted to see it so badly! Of course it wasn't coming anywhere near me (living in this part of the world sucks.) and there was no chance I would get to see it before it got released on DVD. After finding this out, I sort of just forgot about it, until yesterday. For some reason it just popped into my head to see if there was any news on the DVD release date front. Looks like it'll be out this Spring or sometime in summer.
I don't know why I'm writing about it, but I'm going to share the trailer with you all because I can.
Now, as long as I'm on the subject of movies, I recently watched a short film called 'James.' about a young man who thinks he might be gay. It was really good, and sad. If you are so inclined then you can get it for FREE from itunes.
Also, I finally got to see the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special and it was GREAT. I"m going to miss David SOOO BADLY when he goes. I saw an interview his replacement Matt Smith gave and I'm very interested in seeing where he takes the Doctor.
Besides that, not much going on right now. I've been watching American Idol and its just the same as it always has been only with a fourth judge. I really like her.
The last thing I'm going to mention is that I spent some time watching old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer today and it still rocks just as much as it did back in the day.

Things That Bother Me
I'm going to start this blog by letting everyone know that 'Unusual You' by Britney Spears is like THE BEST song to listen to when it's really REALLY cold outside and you have to walk to class.
While I'm on the subject of Britney Spears I'm going to go ahead and say that I don't like the fact that Jive picked 'If U Seek Amy' for the fourth single from 'Circus.' Sure, it's a great song, and the fact that she pretty much spells out 'fuck' is going to get some people interested. I just like 'Unusual You' way better, and I think that it would be a good song for winter time.
Anyway, on to the point. I really don't like it when people who have more than 10 items go through the '10 items or less' lane at Wal-Mart. I mean, the whole point of the lane is so people who aren't buying lots and lots of things can get checked out faster. I don't mind when people who have like 11 items go in the line, its one over, no big deal. But when Miss-Pink shirt-Yellow-PJ-bottoms is at Wal-Mart buying 900 dollars worth of groceries which equals up to like a million items, she has no business in the 10 items or less lane. That's all I'm saying.
If you're a gay guy, I want to know who your favorite Spice Girl is. Here's why: My favorite Spice Girl is Ginger Spice. Almost every gay guy I know likes Ginger Spice. I just want to know if I just know a lot of people with similar tastes in Spice Girls, or if Ginger happens to be like the universal best Spice Girl according to gay men.
Anyway, yay for pointless blogs!

Thanksgiving Break
Hi guys! This is going to be a looong blog. Thinking about it now I probably should have used some of my free time this week to blog, and I had A LOT of free time. I mean, a lot. A full week in Wilsondale is not fun. I love my family and have been super glad to see them, but I'm so ready to get back to Marshall tomorrow.
I spent a very large part of my week sleeping and playing cards. I also watched some TV and messed around online a bit, and of course Thursday was Thanksgiving so I helped cook and ate a lot that day.
It's EARLY Sunday morning (around 2am) and that means that in mere hours I'll be packing up the last of my things and heading back to Marshall. I'll get to see all of my friends today, this week has made me realize how important having good friends is. I think I take you guys for granted, just know that without each and every one of you (even those of you I don't actually see in person much) life would suck major.
There's really not much of a point to this blog/note/bulletin (depending on where you're reading this) besides just to ramble on about nothing. This week expect at least 4 new YouTube videos from me (it's been impossible to get them to upload on dialup) and I'll probably bug you all with details about Britney's album (I'm going to the Mall to get it on Tuesday, on the bus, any of you who wish to come with me, even if you have no interest in buying the CD, just let me know and we'll make it a field trip.)
Anyway, I hope those of you on break this week had a good one, see (or talk to) you all soon!
(I expect my phone to be in use non-stop tomorrow. Text me! Yay cell service.)
