I Saw David Cook

Last night I went to Shawnee State University and saw David Cool live in concert. I had a really good time. The lady next to me didn't seem to be enjoying herself, she sort of just stood there the whole time. The girls in front of me were annoying. Adriene stood on my other side and screamed like a banshee for the whole 2ish hours. It was still fun though! David Cook is great in person and his opening act was wonderful too!

Here is the video I made featuring some clips from the concert:

Flood!

Ok so it looks like someone has flooded the bathroom on my side of the building. The carpet outside the door is all soggy and wet. I think (and hope) that the shower was the source of the flood.

The good part of this mess is that it also looks like the water managed to seep into the room thats four doors down from me. Now you probalby think that I'm mean because of this statement, but I am not. The guy who lives in that room is always playing his music really loudly, and it annoys me. It's not even good music. Rap. I don't like rap. Anyway, so yay for floods.

Another downside of this situation would be the very loud carpet drying fan they now have placed in the hallway. I am playing music in order to distract myself from the fans constant humming.

My favorite song (for tonight) is 'Cry' by Kelly Clarkson. I feel kind of bad for listening to it, since it's a leak. I make myself feel better by thinking about the fact that I'm buying album the day it comes out. I must have it!

Wow, all of this was pretty pointless.

Tomorrow I'll tell you all about my friend Algernon. With video!

Till then, thanks for reading!

Quicksand

This is just a fan made video for Quicksand. Windows Movie Maker gave me a ton of problems so I have decided to leave this unfinished. However, this took a lot of time to do so I'm sharing this part with my subscribers and anyone else who happens upon this video.

Song is Quicksand by Britney Spears. I do not claim to own the rights to this song. Those belong to Britney, Jive, and all the official type people. This was made for fun. Go buy the Circus album it rocks.

To the haters this will undoubtedly attract, I know this sucks, but I had fun making it. So whatever.

Oscars

Ok so Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up at the Oscars. It's very cool. Those kids who were in the movie were SO cute.

That being said I'm going to talk about the parts of the Oscars that I LOVED.

First of all, having past winners present the awards for Best Supporting Actress and Actor and best Lead Actress and Actor was AMAZING. Best Idea ever I think.

The opening with Hugh Jackman was AWESOME. Loved it. The part with Anne Hathaway was cute! Also the musical number with Beyonce and Hugh, Zac Effron, Vanessa Hudgens, Amanda S. and Dominic Cooper was a lot of fun. I liked when Queen L sang over the in memory thing. Robert Pattinson spoke and presented, that was cool.

It's sad that when they were showing Mickey Rourke as a nominee for best actor I couldn't focus because R Patz was behind him!

When Dustin Lance Black won for Best Original Screenplay I was like YES! Not only is he cute, he's gay. He wrote the screenplay for "Milk". I really liked his speech. Some highlights of that speech include:

"...to all of the gay and lesbian kids who are out there tonight who have been told that they are less than by their churches, or by the government, or by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful, creatures of value and that no matter what anyone tells you god does love you..."

I was SO glad when Kate Winslett won for Lead Actress. I loved all the other nominees but I was really hoping Kate would win, and she did. Her speech was AWESOME! I laughed and I got a little teary. Good job Kate!

I was glad a lot tonight. Sean Penn won for Lead Actor for Milk and gave a very wonderful speech. I don't remember any of it word for word, but there will be a video as soon as one becomes avaliable on YouTube.

Well there ya have it, the best parts of the Oscars in my opinion. The middle portion went a bit slow, but that usually happens. I also loved the skit things that Tina Faye and Steve Martin and James Franco and Seth Brogan did, those were hilarious!

Exercise. Yeah.

So recently Marshall opened this brand-spankin-new recreation center and forced all it's full time students to pay a fee to use it, whether they wanted to or not. At first this pissed me off, I am not the type of person who pays to use a gym (Especially not 300 dollars, which is what they made us pay) and I didn't really want to go.

Anyway, it finally opened this month and me and bunch of my friends decided that we'd check it out, since we'd paid for it and everything. This place is really nice. It's got a pool, tons of exercise equipment, a huge gymnasium for basketball and stuff, and a three lane walking track on the top floor that overlooks it all.

We started going on Monday and have been trying to go twice a day. It turns out that we actually enjoy it. It's sucky at times, and my legs now hate me, but I think I'm on my way to being healthier. I enjoy the treadmill and the elliptical thingy, and even the stupid little bikes that go nowhere. I even jogged around the track today. The amazing part of all this, for me anyway, is that I've been having fun doing it! Mostly I listen to my MP3 player when I work out (Lady Gaga is seriously good power walking music.) but each treadmill/stair climber has its own personal flat screen television that you can watch while you torture yourself (work out, whatever you wanna call it).

Anyway, I need to go buy a scale so I can weigh myself weekly to see if all this exercise/dieting is actually helping.

That's about all I have to say this morning. Now I must go get started on a reading assignment thats due on Monday.

Lady GaGa

Ok so, up until this week I did not like Lady Gaga. Then I saw the video for her song 'Love Game' and I changed my mind. Now, the video itself I take some issues with, but they're all just me being picky so I won't mention them. The song however, I loved. The first line "Lets have some fun, this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick." caught my attention and the rest of the song kept it.

After I heard the song and watched the video I decided to check out the rest of her music. I had heard "Just Dance" "Poker Face" and "Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" before. I liked Just Dance and Eh Eh, but hated Poker Face.

Now, I've heard the whole CD and I must admit that I really enjoy the whole thing. I also now LOVE Poker Face. I'm really bored so I'm going to give you a rundown on my opinions about the CD and Gaga now.

Track 1: Just Dance

This song is amazing. It actually makes you want to do what the title suggests: Dance. When I hear it I want to shake my groove thing, and I usually do. This is a perfect pop song. (Lets remember that everything I say is my own opinion btw)

Track 2: Lovegame

LOVE IT! That's all I'm going to say since I talked about it up there ^.

Track 3: Paparazzi

I also love this one. She sounds great in it and I just want to sing along.

Track 4: Poker Face

I used to hate it, now I love it. I can't help but sing along (especially with the mah mah mahs and the p-p-p-poker face parts.)

Track 5: Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)

I like this song too. Not sure what else to say about it. It's not remarkable, but it's enjoyable.

Track 6: Beautiful, Dirty, Rich

So far I don't like this song much. I don't know and can't explain why, but It just hasn't caught on with me. Maybe it will some day.

Track 7: The Fame

My second favorite song on the whole album. It's really fun and I love it!

Track 8: Money Honey

This is another one that I don't like. Not sure why, just don't like it.

Track 9: Starstruck

I really like this one too. Yay for good music.

Track 10: Boys Boys Boys

This is my favorite track on the CD. I feel like this song should be on the soundtrack of my life. I love it! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Track 11: Paper Gangsta

This one is ok. It's not great, don't love it, but don't dislike it.

Track 12: Brown Eyes

I like this one. It's a more ballady song, but I like it anyway.

Track 13: I Like it Rough

This is another one that I don't love, but don't hate either. Take it or leave it.

Track 14: Summerboy

Love this one too! I just like what shes singing about, and it makes me smile.

Now, all of that being said. I'm still not sure I like Gaga the performer. Her hair is weird, I don't like her outfits 90% of the time. It seems like she's trying too hard to be different to me when she's really exactly the same typical pop singer that we all know and love.

So yeah, I can't make up my mind if I love her or not, but I do a love a lot of her music and that's enough for me.

I Hate Tatiana del Toro.

I missed my English class today. It's not my fault though, I blame the stupid storm and the internet, which distracted me and made me forget that I had a class to go to.

This day started off wonderfully. I let myself sleep till 1 o'clock. (pm that is) I dragged myself out of bed and decided to see what the weather was like. I threw open the curtains and the bind and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was bright and sunny outside. People were wearing shorts, and there were a couple attractive shirtless guys playing Tennis, and a few guys with their shirts on playing some other sport over in the field like area by the tennis courts. I took all of this as a sign that I should wear shorts to class, which I did.

I get to class at 4 o'clock. (The hours between 1 and 4 were spent doing homework, showering, and fixing my hair. My hair looked damned good when I left the room.) I'd been sitting in class for 40 minutes when I noticed that it was beginning to get dark outside. Another twenty minutes pass and it starts to rain, and the wind is blowing VERY hard. At this point the teacher tells us we can leave class (A full hour early) because of the weather. Which was sort of a good thing. However, on the walk back to the dorms from Jenkins Hall (where my class was) I got soaked, my hair got ruined and it was FREEZING cold rain.

I had dinner with Adriene, John, and Millie, came back to my room and have been here since. (I was supposed to go to English 342 at 6:30 but I forgot and wouldn't have wanted to walk there in that rain anyway.) I watched American Idol.

Oh, what to say about American Idol? I think I hate it. (Not the serious hate, the kind of hate where you say you hate something but you don't mean it, you're just mad because things didn't go the way you wanted them to.) The very beginning of the show was good. The guy named Von Smith got through. I was glad, I've been a fan of his since his audition when he sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The gladness ended there. My second favorite from this season (so far) was Cody Sheldon, he had to sing off with a friend of his and go cut. SERIOUSLY? I will miss him. I hear they're doing wild cards again this season, so I hope he gets brought back. Is that possible though? I can't remember how the wild card works. Anyway, moving on. This show was 2 hours long, and it was just 2 hours of people walking in to see the judges and find out if they make it into the top 36. During this time Guy Whose Wife Died makes it in, but his best friend does not. Blind guy gets in as well, which made me happy.
They let that Norman Gentle guy through. That's going to be interesting.

Anyway, as all of this is going on, I just want to know whats going to happen with Tatiana del Toro (or as I like to call her Tatiana del Annoying Bitch). Turns out, they save her for one of the last people. As soon as its her turn and she walks into the judges room and lets out one of her Squeals I realize, once again, how much I hate her. Seriously, she makes me want to throw things or eat my own face. (What? I know that doesn't sound possible, but she's so annoying I want to find a way) Anway, she squeals and manages to get free Jewlery designed by Paula and SURPRISE she makes it through to the top 36. I swear, if she gets any farther I'll scream or something.

So now for the next 3 weeks the top 36 will preform in groups of 12. At the end of this episode they showed the 12 that we'll be seeing next week and Tatiana del Annoying Bitch is one of them. Hopefully she wont make it any farther. During her scene at the end (they had all the contestants dancing to "When I Grow Up") shes wearing this sparkley dress. I REALLY HATE HER.

So Idol went off and I cleaned my room. It looks nice in here again, hopefully it'll last a few weeks this time.

Now it's almost 2am and I'm not even tired. Go me.

Anyway, that's all for tonight.

Sunshine and Songs!

It is REALLY pretty outside today. I woke up and looked out my window and was surprised to see the sun shining full blast and people moving all over campus. There were a few attractive guys playing tennis, a group of girls who looked like they'd just been running or something, and they all looked very happy.

Just seeing the sun put me in a good mood for some reason, which is odd since I usually prefer cold weather. I sat at my computer to make my daily rounds and I put some Britney on in the background. Nothing from 'Circus' today, I was feeling some of the older stuff. Old bonus tracks actually. "I Run Away" "And Then We Kiss" and "I've Just Begun Having My Fun" have been on repeat for a while.

The Grammys are on tonight! I'm going to watch them, it's musics biggest night and all that jazz. I'm mainly just looking forward to seeing what all the stars are wearing on the red carpet. I'm gonna predict that Katy Perry is gonna look AMAZING.

Well this was a pointless blog wasn't it? Hope you're all having a great Sunday! If you're near me, enjoy the weather.

Toodles.

My Day!

Oh look! It's 1:37am as I begin to write this and guess what, I'm bored!

The day got off to a bad start! I over slept and didn't get to go to this service project thing I wanted to. It wasn't my fault though, my phone died and the alarm didn't go off. (So it was my fault for not making sure the charger was plugged in before I went to sleep, but lets not get picky.)

My evening started by going to a very hurried dinner with Adriene and Kirstin. Kirstin and I wanted to take the bus to Pullman, but apparently it ran early and we missed it. Which made us decide to see a later (and more expensive) showing of the movie we wanted to see. The only positive thing that came from all of this was that we got to sit at the bus stop and enjoy watching many attractive men walk by. This, of course, made us spend many minutes arguing over whether the guys we were checking out were gay or straight.

This section contains spoilers about the movie Coraline
Tonight was fun, it was actually so warm outside that I didn't even need to wear a jacket on the walk to Pullman. Kirstin and I went to watch 'Coraline' which as an amazing movie! I think Dakota Fanning did a good job with the voice acting, and so did Terri Hatcher. The movie itself was CREEPY! I'm not so sure that every part of it was kid friendly (especially the part with the woman with HUGE breasts being topless with nothing but some sparkly things on her nipples bouncing around.) The 3D aspects of the movies made is SO fun. It was a stunning movie in terms of the visuals.
Spoilers have ended

After the movie we went to Starbucks where the line was LONG. The tiny Starbucks was completely crowded, but we managed to get our drinks quick enough. Then we decided that since it was so nice out we'd walk instead of taking the bus. Some annoying children (whose parents were MIA) actually said "Can I have a drink of that" as we walked by them. We didn't respond, so they threw ice at us. Kids are annoying.

Speaking of kids, the movie theater was FULL of them. (That's what you get when you see an animated 3D movie) and it was so cute! When the 3D parts would happen they'd get all excited. At one point the cat killed this evil mouse/rat thing and one of the kids who didn't understand it was evil was said "Why did he do that dad?" in this cute whisper that was more like a yell. It was way too sweet to be annoying.

Well, we made it back to Campus without further incident and I've been settled in here since. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a very boring day.

Such A Nice Day

It was SO nice outside today. Beautiful ...

Ok so actually, it was kinda slushish and there were lots of icky puddles and it was a tiny bit chilly but compared to the last couple weeks today was Paradise!

It was so nice outside I even left my room and went for a walk to Pullman Square with Adriene. I wanted to go get this book called 'Hero' which the bookstore, of course, did not have, but the walk was nice. I also got to go to Starbucks and get my fix which ROCKED.

Besides that I've been reading some blogs today, you should go and check out this Boy Culture blog thing, click here!

I thought it was a funny idea lol.

Anyway, just a little update since the day was so pretty!

Toodles!

PS: How would you feel if your booty ended up on someones blog?

College

Today I actually sat down and thought about how this semester at Marshall has been going. I guess I was just in a responsible mood. (Or maybe it was because I didn't have Queer as Folk to distract me.) Either way I have decided that this semester is going well, I have missed English class once, and it wasn't really for a very good reason, but besides that everything is good. I've managed to get all my homework finished on time, I like all of my professors (Even Paynter in an odd way) and I understand the things that are being taught to me.

I think the major difference between this semester and last (which was a total train wreck) is that I'm actually getting to take classes that I'm going to NEED when I get out into the real world. Last semester I had to take a bunch of classes that taught me things I'm probably never going to use again.

I don't know why I'm writing this blog, I'm just in a writing mood. It happens.

Season 2 Was Great, But I'm Mad.

Ok, so I have mentioned how I'm obsessed with this show right? Ok, good.

Anyway, I just finished Season 2. It was amazing. It made me VERY mad, like I was going to sleep after the last episode went off but now I can't because I'm mad. Brain is an ass, Justin is an idiot. That's all I have to say.
